Latin Fury Song Spotlight: "Heaven in Your Eyes"

The Latin Fury! Song Spotlight Series takes a closer look at the songs that are part of the show.

This song spotlight is on "Heaven In Your Eyes” – which you can hear on the Latin Fury! EP, “Verde”.

“Heaven in Your Eyes” holds a very special and personal connection to Latin Fury!, as it was co-written by John William Dexter, who created Latin Fury!

Dexter – along with Mae Moore – brought “Heaven in Your Eyes” into the studio where Paul Dean and Mike Reno added some additional elements before leaving it to Loverboy to record what would become one of the quintessential power ballads of the 1980s.

A fixture on the “Top Gun” movie soundtrack, “Heaven in Your Eyes” was released in the summer of 1986 and climbed to #12 on the US Billboard Hot 100 charts.

Under Dexter’s guidance, “Heaven in Your Eyes” takes on a distinctive romantic and emotive tone from Latin Fury! on stage along with a unique cultural edge that makes it feel fresh and welcome at every performance.
